Robolab - os sets (Parte II) - O 9723

Dando continuidade à apresentação dos conjuntos RoboLab, e em especial os que não possuíam o RCX, e que continham peças para a realização de atividades pedagógicas pré-programadas, hoje apresento o conjunto 9723, o RoboLab Cities and Transportation Set. Este conjunto é apresentado numa caixa preta e de altura mais reduzida. O mesmo se irá verificar nos conjuntos 9725 e 9795, que  complementam estes pacotes educativos e que irei apresentar nos próximos posts.

Continuing the presentation of the RoboLab sets, and especially those that did not have the RCX, and that contained pieces for carrying out pre-programmed educational activities, today I present the 9723 set, the RoboLab Cities and Transportation Set. This set is presented in a black box and lower height. The same will be seen in sets 9725 and 9795, which complement these educational packages and which I will present in the next posts.

Este conjunto  teve duas edições, uma em 2000 e outra em 2001, na qual o nome é substituído de RoboLab para LEGO®MindStorms for Schools. De resto esta transformação das caixas aconteceu em toda a gama inicial dos conjuntos RoboLab, os quais possuem sempre uma edição com o título RoboLab e uma outra com o título LEGO®MindStorms for Schools. Esta alteração estende-se obviamente aos livros de professor.

This set had two editions, one in 2000 and another in 2001, in which the name is replaced from RoboLab to LEGO®MindStorms for Schools. Moreover, this transformation of the boxes took place throughout the initial range of RoboLab sets, which always have an edition with the title RoboLab and another with the title LEGO®MindStorms for Schools. This change obviously extends to teacher books.

Este conjunto possibilita a realização de quatro contruções. Deste modo era acompanhado por quatro livros de instruções, a saber: Simple Traffic Lights,  Traffic Monitoring, Intelligent Vehicles e Monorail (as imagens são da segunda edição).

This set makes it possible to carry out four constructions. In this way it was accompanied by four instruction books, namely: Simple Traffic Lights, Traffic Monitoring, Intelligent Vehicles and Monorail (images are from the second edition).

Para dinamizar as atividades os professores possuíam um dossier com fichas de motivação e fichas de atividades, incluindo nestas as fichas para dar aos alunos. Este manual, com 82 páginas,dividido em 5 seções, possui 10 atividades de iniciação e 4 projetos desenvolvidos em 15 atividades Era vendido em separado com o código 2009723. Este conjunto, na própria opinião da Lego, visava não a introdução à robótica, como no caso do 9780 e do 9725, mas mais o aprofundar da prática quer de alunos quer de professores.

To streamline activities, teachers had a dossier with motivation sheets and activity sheets, including the sheets to give to students. This 82-page manual, divided into 5 sections, has 10 initiation activities and 4 projects developed in 15 activities. It was sold separately under the code 2009723.

This set, in Lego's own opinion, aimed not at introducing robotics, as in the case of 9780 and 9725, but rather at furthering the practice of both students and teachers.

Foi lançado um conjunto de peças o "Special Elements for Cities and Transportation Set", 

o 970671, com 119 peças.

Por fim, cabe aqui referir que todas as propostas de programação associadas às atividades deste conjunto estavam incluídas na versão do software RoboLab, bem como as dos conjuntos 9780 e 9725.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that all programming proposals associated with the activities of this set were included in the RoboLab software version, as well as those of sets 9780 and 9725.
