Robolab - os sets (Parte V) com o RCX - O 9790- 9791

O primeiro conjunto Robolab com RCX incluído foi o ROBOLAB Team Challenge Set (Serial 9790 e o USB 9791), foi lançado em 1999. Este conjunto continha o RCX 1.0,. Na versão 9790 usava a torre com cabo de série e na versão 9791 a torre USB.

Este conjunto foi integrado digitalmente no LEGO designer (ref 2000070-US), datado de 2001. Foram poucos os conjuntos nele integrados de origem.

The first Robolab set with RCX included was the ROBOLAB Team Challenge Set (Serial 9790 and USB 9791), launched in 1999. This set contained RCX 1.0 ,. In version 9790 it used the tower with serial cable and in version 9791 the USB tower.

Foi editado inicialmente com a designação de Robolab, mas posteriormente foi reeditado com a designação de MindStorms for Schools (9790). Mais abaixo o conjunto 9791.

Trazia de igual modo um livro de instruções, com o código editorial 4.122.309, o Subassembly Constructopedia, o qual assunia-se como instruções para a construção de modelos parciais, que poderiam ser tidos como ponto de partida a realização de modelos completos. Apresentava 11 sugestões.

Para os docentes foram editados dois manuais o 2000055 e o 2009790, o primeiro "Team Challenge Introductory Activity Pack" possuía 33 páginas com atividades introdutórias, nomeadamente a construção do Acrobot e vinte fichas de estudo. Oferece aos alunos uma introdução condensada ao uso do software ROBOLAB e à construção com o RCX. Inclui atividades e notas do professor e instruções de construção para uso com o conjunto 9790 Team Challenge. Possibilita uma rápida introdução ao software ROBOLAB que permite que os alunos participem posteriormente de um desafio de equipe em que todos os alunos recebem funções e são incentivados a participar. Possibilidades abertas para explorar, investigar e desenvolver. Estimula habilidades iniciais de design, engenharia e informática. O segundo, "Team Challenge "Can Do" Activity Pack", possuía 54 páginas, com 10 desafios no mínimo, e possuía material quer para docentes e alunos bem como outro material de apoio, e foi preparado para o concurso "The Can Do "
